The lodging contract that the hotel and the customer enter into and any related contracts will be dependent on these terms and conditions. Any items that are not outlined in these terms and conditions will be subject to law or established customs.
For cases that are not in violation of the law or customs, but are corresponding to a special agreement, the special agreement will be prioritized regardless of the aforementioned item.
Lodging Contract Applications
Those who intend to apply for a lodging contract with the hotel should offer the following items to the hotel.
Name of lodger
Lodging dates and planned time of arrival
Lodging price (as a rule, based on the base lodging price listed in appendix 1)
Any other items the hotel deems to be necessary
When the lodging guest asks to stay beyond the lodging dates outlined in the second point of the preceding item, at the time of this request, the hotel will process this as a new lodging contract application.
Lodging Contract Establishment
The terms and conditions will be seen as established when the hotel accepts the application of the preceding article.
When a lodging contract is established with the regulations of the preceding item, the guest should pay the application fee the hotel sets by the date it designates, with the base lodging fee for the lodging period (if said period exceeds three days, then the amount for three days shall be used) acting as the upper limit for said amount.
The application fee is allotted to the final lodging fee the lodging guest must pay. If a situation arises whereby the regulations stipulated in Articles 6 and 17 are applied, this will be allotted to the penalty fee and compensation in this order, with any outstanding amounts being returned when the payment of the fee outlined in Article 12 is made.
If payment for the application fee in Item 2 is not received by the date designated by the hotel in line with the regulations for this same item, the lodging contract will no longer be considered effective. However, this only applies in cases where the hotel has notified the lodging guest of this in designating the payment date.
Special Agreements that Do Not Require Application Fees
Regardless of the regulations in Item 2 of the preceding article, the hotel may not request payment of the application fee, outlined in the same item, once a contract is established in line with a special agreement.
If the hotel does not request payment of the application fee in Item 2 of the preceding article or does not designate a payment deadline for said application fee in accepting a lodging contract application, it will be treated as being in line with a special agreement stipulated in the preceding item.
Refusal to Enter a Lodging Contract
In the following cases, the hotel may not enter into a lodging contract.
The lodging application is not in line with these terms and conditions.
There are no availability due to all rooms being booked.
It is deemed that the person(s) applying may commit acts that are in violation of the provisions of the law, public order, or good morals.
There have been cases in the past of the person(s) applying not having paid fees to the hotel on time, or other instances of trouble.
The person(s) applying is/are deemed to correspond to one of the following A to C.
A: Gangs (hereafter, Gangs) stipulated in Article 2, Item 2 of the law relating to inappropriate acts by gang members (Law No.77 of 1991), gang members (hereafter, Gang Members) stipulated in the same law Article 2, Item 6, associate members of Gangs and related personnel, or other antisocial organizations
B: Corporate bodies or other groups where Gangs or Gang Members control business activities
C: Corporate bodies where a member of the board is a Gang member
The person(s) applying is/are clearly recognized to be infected with a contagious disease.
Acts of violent demands have been made regarding the visit, or requests have been made that exceed rational bounds.
There are circumstances such as natural disasters or trouble with the facilities which unavoidably make the hotel unable to lodge guests.
The person(s) applying is/are deemed to be drunk or in a condition that will otherwise inconvenience other lodging guests. When the lodger causes significant inconvenience to other lodging guests with inappropriate language or behavior.
Any other reasons that correspond to numbers (3) to (9)
The Lodging Guest''s Right to Terminate a Contract
A lodging contract can be terminated by a lodging guest making a request to the hotel.
In cases where the lodging guest is at fault and cancels all or part of the lodging contract (excluding cases where, under the regulations of Article 3, Item 2, the hotel has desginated a payment date for the application fee and requested said payment, and the lodging guest cancels the lodging contract before making said payment), the hotel will charge a penalty fee as is outlined in appendix 2. However, if complying with the special agreement in Article 4, Item 1, this will only apply in cases where the hotel notifies the lodging guest of their obligation to pay the penalty fee when terminating the lodging contract.
If the lodging guest does not contact the hotel and does not arrive at the hotel on the day of lodging 8pm (in cases where the time of arrival has been clearly stated otherwise, this will be two hours after the arranged time or at midnight, whichever is earlier), the lodging contract will be considered as having been terminated by the lodging guest.
The Hotel''s Right to Terminate a Contract
In the following cases, the hotel may terminate a contract.
If a lodging guest does not adhere to the the hotel''s lodging terms and conditions and the hotel rules of use.
If it is deemed that the lodging guest may commit acts that are in violation of the provisions of the law, public order, or good morals, or has committed one of said acts.
If the lodging guest fails to pay the hotel the usage fees or is late in doing so.
If the lodging guest provides a false request when entering into the lodging contract.
If a lodging guest is deemed to be a member of an antisocial group, a group that engages in extreme activities, or other similar groups that are designated in the "laws related to preventing acts of injustice by gang members".
If the lodging guest corresponds to the preceding item, or is deemed to be involved with groups or organizations that correspond to the preceding item, or groups or organizations that engage in fraudulent means or threats.
If the lodging guest commits any acts of violence, injuring other persons, extortion, threats, blackmail, or fraud.
For any other reasons that correspond to numbers (4) to (10)
If the lodging guest is clearly recognized to be infected with a contagious disease.
If acts of violent demands have been made regarding the visit, or requests have been made that exceed rational bounds.
If there are circumstances such as natural disasters or trouble with the facilities which unavoidably make the hotel unable to lodge guests.
If the lodging guest is deemed to be drunk or in a condition that will otherwise inconvenience other lodging guests, or if the lodger causes significant inconvenience to other lodging guests with inappropriate language or behavior.
If the lodging guest smokes in bed, or causes mischief with firefighting equipment, or commits other forbidden acts (only with regard to fire precaution equipment) in the hotel''s rules of use.
If the hotel terminates the lodging contract based on the regulations in the preceding item, the lodging guest will not be charged for lodging services they are yet to receive.
The lodging guest will have to register the following items at the front desk of the hotel on the day on which they are lodging.
Lodging guest''s name, age, sex, address, and occupation
Nationality, passport number, point of entry, and date of entry for foreign guests
Date of departure and planned departure time
Any other items the hotel deems necessary
If a lodging guest pays the fee in Article 12 with a lodging ticket, credit card, or a medium in place of physical currency, this should be presented in advance when registering in the preceding item.
Guest Room Usage Times
Lodging guests may use their guest room at the hotel from 3pm until 11am the following day. However, those who are lodging for consecutive days may use the room all day except on the day of arrival and the day of departure.
Regardless of the regulations in the preceding item, this hotel may comply with usage of the guest rooms outside the times stipulated in said item. In which case, the following additional costs will be charged.
Until 3pm 2,160 Yen (tax included) per hour regardless of the room cost
Until after 3pm full cost of the room
Adherence to the Rules of Use
Within the hotel, lodging guests should adhere to the rules of use that the hotel has established and put up or attached.
The opening hours of the facilities of the hotel will be as follows. Details on the opening hours of other facilities are notified in attached pamphlet, on notices at each location, and in the hotel directory in guest rooms.

Opening times may be changed without prior notice.
Payment of Fees
The breakdown and calculation method of the lodging fee the lodging guest must pay is outlined in appendix 1.
Payment of the lodging fee in the preceding item should be paid in physical currency, or by lodging tickets or credit cards that are accepted by the hotel. This should be paid when the lodging guest departs the hotel or when the hotel requests payment, and should be completed at the front desk.
In cases where the hotel prepares guest rooms for a lodging guest, and the lodging guest voluntarily chooses not to lodge once they are able to, the lodging fee will still be charged.
Responsibility of the Hotel
In enforcing the lodging contract and related contracts, or indeed in breaching them, if the hotel damages lodging guests, then said damages will be compensated. However, this will not be the case if it is not the hotel that is at fault.
In order to address the unlikely event of a fire disaster, the hotel is entered into Japanese-style inn liability insurance.
Handling Cases Where Contracted Guest Rooms Cannot be Provided
In the event that the hotel cannot offer the lodging guest the guest room that has been contracted, with the understanding of the lodging guest, a different accommodation that is as close to the original as possible is found for them.
Regardless of the regulations in the preceding item, if the hotel cannot find another accommodation, the penalty fee for breaching contract will be paid to the lodging guest as compensation. This compensation will be appropriated as damage compensation. However, if it is not the hotel that is at fault for being unable to offer said guest room, compensation will not be paid.
Handling Cosigned Goods
In the event of any loss or damage to goods, money, or valuables that have been entrusted to the front desk occurring, the hotel will provide damage compensation, unless the cause of which has been out of human control. However, this will not be the case if the customer does not declare the type of items or their value when entrusting said items to the front desk.
If a lodging guest''s goods, money, or valuables that have been brought into the hotel and not entrusted to the front desk are lost or damaged due to the deliberate or erroneous actions of the hotel, the hotel will also provide damage compensation. However, the damage compensation provided will be capped at 100,000 Yen if the lodging guest does not declare the type of items or their value beforehand, except in cases where there are deliberate or serious errors on the part of the hotel.
Storage of Lodging Guests'' Hand Luggage or Personal Items
If a lodging guest sends their hand luggage to the hotel ahead of their arrival, only in cases where the hotel has understanding of the matter in advance will it be responsible for storing said luggage, and in said cases it will hand over said luggage to the lodging guest at the front desk at the time of check in.
If a lodging guest''s hand luggage or personal items are forgotten at the hotel after their check out, the hotel will, after proving the owner of the items, contact the owner and seek instructions from them. However, if there are no instructions from the owner, or if the owner cannot be proven, the items will be dealt with based on Lost Goods Act.
With regard to storing hand luggage and personal items of lodging guests outlined in preceding two items, the hotel''s responsibility will be to follow the regulations stipulated in the preceding article, Item 1 in the case of Item 1, and to follow the regulations stipulated in the preceding article, Item 2 in the case of Item 2.
Responsibility of the Lodging Guest
Any damages incurred by the hotel due to the deliberate intention or error of the lodging guest will result in the relevant lodging guest being liable to pay the hotel compensation for said damages.
Validity of the Lodging Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions are valid as of June 1, 2019.
